Delano Tyrell
deceased six years
"Hit a tripwire of smell and memories explode all at once. A complex vision leaps out of the undergrowth." - Ackerman.
Former Lord of Highgarden, Defender of the Marches, High Marshal of the Reach, and Warden of the South. Called the Lord of Summer. Eldest grandson of Harlan Tyrell, hereditary high steward of the Reach, who was granted Highgarden and dominion of the Reach by Aegon Targaryen upon the death of King Mern at the Field of Fire. The Tyrells claim descent from the Gardener king of the Age of Heroes through the female line (indicating their origin among the Andal invaders thousands of years before). Oldest son of Hadley Tyrell, the only son of Harlan the Steward. Delano met his death on the eve of his announcement to name an heir in the midst of the Beesbury Uprising. Blame for this murder was laid at the feet of the Beesburys and avenged by the combined forces of Highgarden, Hightower, Florent, Bulwer, and Ambrose in the Battle of the Black Bloom.

"In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer." - Camus.
Second son of Coriander Tyrell. Called Knight of the Black Bloom and the Flowers' Thorn. Beyond the Reach, Valcour is known for being a jackanape and lazy, and is rumored to have only been granted his knighthood for bearing his father's name. Those within the Reach could tell a somewhat different tale, however, if only they could ever be offered so high a bribe for it's breath. He is easily bespied by his choice of black clothing that would mark him a man of the Night's Watch were it not for the flower ever pinned to his sleeve and colors of his house lended in embroidery.
